Letter to the Guardian 23/9/15
Dear Sir,
I read this morning `s ( Tuesday 22 September) Guardian paper with a bit of a shock. I discovered Mr Cameron had completed the job that Mrs Thatcher had begun- the destruction of the British nuclear programme. It is now for the French and Chinese to reap the glory. The design will now be the responsibility of French and Chinese engineers and there will be no space for British engineers or designers.
I have worked almost all my life to support nuclear power. I am proud of my contribution and I am sad it ends like this. I retired from Winfrith Atomic Research Centre in 1990 and am now 92 years old.
Yours Sincerely
Jesse Fell

Letter to the Dorset Echo 23/9/15
Dear Sir,
I am writing about the proposed redevelopment of Dorchester prison. It seems to me extremely important that part of it should be social housing.
Lots of people don’t realise what a great need we have for this in Dorchester.
Many of us know this only too well. We have sons and daughters who could never hope to own their own home and who struggle to afford to rent. Can’t something please be done to help them.
It seems the developers intend to provide no social housing whatever. If so,this is really awful. As the developer bought the prison plus three others for the relatively low (to them) price of £5 million, surely it would be totally wrong not to provide for those who are desperate for a decent home.
Yours sincerely
